BEFORE Renovation
A Great Home, Ready for a Fresh New Look
Shortly after purchasing their new home in Northcote, a young professional couple reached out to Master Renovations with a vision. Their property, full of charm and in solid condition, provided an excellent foundation, but key areas like the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry lacked the modern flow and functionality they needed.
The existing bathroom layout was particularly restrictive. The bathtub, while traditional, no longer served the couple’s needs, and the overall arrangement lacked cohesion. The laundry felt like an afterthought, with poor storage and impractical placement. Meanwhile, the kitchen though neat, needed a fresh, timeless look to match their taste and lifestyle.
Determined to make the home truly theirs, the couple wanted to upgrade these spaces with a clean, contemporary finish, improved layout, and intuitive use of space. Functionality, elegance, and quality were non-negotiable.
Our Northcote Renovation Process
From the very first consultation, the clients came prepared with a strong design vision and a clear sense of style. They had thoughtfully chosen all their tiles, tapware, and fixtures from preferred high-end suppliers, selecting finishes that reflected their modern, minimalist aesthetic while still honouring the character of the home.
We supported their journey by connecting them with our trusted cabinetmakers, who are craftspeople known for producing custom cabinetry that blends precision with design excellence. Working closely with the couple, our team helped bring their ideas to life, from the layout and sizing of the vanity, kitchen cabinetry, and laundry units to the finer details like colour palettes and hardware selection.
Once designs were finalised and approved, we commenced construction. The couple temporarily relocated to a nearby Airbnb during the eight-week project, ensuring a stress-free renovation experience and a smooth, uninterrupted schedule for our team.
Throughout the project, we maintained open and consistent communication providing weekly updates and progress photos, discussing upcoming stages, and being available to answer any questions along the way. It’s this level of personal service that sets us apart, ensuring our clients feel supported and in control from start to finish.
A Beautiful Transformation
The Bathroom Renovation
Streamlined Design for Everyday use
The completed renovation is a seamless fusion of style and functionality. The new bathroom is now completely reimagined, designed for simplicity, elegance, and daily ease.
Without the bathtub, the layout now flows effortlessly, offering generous space, a walk-in shower with premium fixtures, and a custom vanity that provides ample storage without overwhelming the room.
The Kitchen Renovation
A Kitchen Designed for Style and Function
In the kitchen, fresh cabinetry and sleek finishes uplift the entire feel of the home. Modern lighting, beautiful benchtops, and intuitive design choices create a warm, functional space where everything has its place, ideal for both quiet dinners and entertaining guests.
The Laundry Renovation
A Purpose-Built Laundry with Style
The laundry, often overlooked in many homes, has been transformed into a practical and stylish zone. By stacking the washer and dryer, we freed up valuable space for tall storage and benchtop folding areas, making everyday tasks more pleasant and efficient.
A Refined Living Experience
This Northcote renovation reflects the quality and detail our clients expect from Master Renovations. Every choice from layout to finish was intentional, designed to enhance how the home feels and functions on a daily basis.
The couple were thrilled with the transformation and now enjoys a space that truly reflects their lifestyle and aesthetic. With every detail considered and finished to the highest standard, their home now offers a beautiful balance of practicality and polished design, ready to serve them for years to come.
